Have just installed Canon MP230. All good, but the Canon Quick

Have just installed Canon MP230. All good, but the Canon Quick Menu has a Status box stating "Checking Printer Status. Please Wait." The Quick Menu opens, but when you click on any of the applications there, another Status Bos opens and says "An Error Occured" an closes the quick Menu down. !!
