I'm looking at the OCE CS2336 error E161-403e information and I cannot clear the message to get to the screen to install the new printhead.

That error code, in 'OCE' branded printers manufactured by Canon, means 'replace the left printhead', essentially (in machines with two printheads.)
In machines with one printhead, it would mean 'replace the printhead'.

You did not answer my question. I have pressed the menu button and and combination of information and paper load buttons but it will not clear the error screen. The print head cannot be accessed without clearing the error screen. Do you know how to do this?

The information you provided I already got from the Canon people.
