I have a Canon LBP 3000 Laser Shot Printer . It was set

I have a Canon LBP 3000 Laser Shot Printer

. It was set up by a computer tech after I switched from PC to Mac about 4 years ago. It was working just fine with my Apple Desktop 24" computer ever since.

It suddenly stopped working, in that the printer is on but the computer doesn't seem to find it.

I tried reloading the driver disc that came with the computer but it doesn't seem to have a way to install to a Mac.

What to do?

Hello,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this unit will not work with MAC, which is why you are having this issue.

It's best to take part of Canon's program as they are giving 50-75% of services, repairs, and new units for sending in your old faulty one(even if out of warranty). They would allow you to get a new unit in the mail with prepaid return box for the one you have now in return since it's non-compatiable. Please don't shoot the messenger.
