My printer won't print out my online bank or credit card statements. The printer makes all the sounds that it is printing but all I get is the AMX logo. It seems to be working fine for all other printing projects, ie, scanning, copying, printing recipes from internet.

Welcome to JustAnswer.comMy name is XXXXXX, XXX I am one of the experts who will be assisting you today! Question.. when you print your bank or credit card statement. Are you printing it directly from the internet.?Or are you downloading a copy of the statement.. And then printing from the downloaded copy?
I am printing directly from their website. I have been doing it this way for years. I have never had a problem before.
Thanks. Lets discuss how you reach the website. Do you use Internet explorer, mozilla firefox, safari, google chrome? Do you have a mac, or a windows xp, vista, or windows 7 pc?
Internet explorer. Windows 7 pc
Thanks. I think the issue is internet explorer corruption, so we may try to reset internet explorer. But first, I want to verify internet explorer is the issue, before we try to "fix " it. So as a test , please download and install this free program.Go to the link belowhttp://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.htmlClick to download the Mozilla Firefox setup file.Once downloaded, run the file to install Mozilla. When it asks, you don't have to import anything, or make it your default browser.Once installed, run Mozilla Firefox. Now, using mozilla firefox, please go to your bank site, or credit card site. And try to print out the statement.. Will it print now, or are you having the same issues? **note, i have to send this as an answer, since it has a chance of resolving the issue. Since this is just a test step, please wait to rate the service till we have had a chance to run this step, and then make the actual fix depending on what happens in this step. Thanks!
I'm concerned that I will lose this page if I leave to install Mozilla. How can I get back to you if I lose you?
I tried to print from Foxfire with the same results. Any other suggestions? ,I'm concerned that I will lose this page if I leave to install Mozilla. How can I get back to you if I lose you?
I did as you suggested and I got the same results.
My apologies for the delay. As long as you come back to justanswer.com ( through internet explorer) It should automatically log you in If not, then you can log int with the email address and password XXX created and used when you signed up for justanswer. Question.. did you install mozilla, and did you use mozilla to print> Actually launching the new program, and then going to your bank from the mozilla start page?
I did install mozilla and used it to print from the start page.
Thanks.. So when you tried printing from mozilla, it only printed the first heading of the AMX logo too? Normally I would offer a remote support session here, Where I could connect to your computer, screen share.. And manually try to resolve this issue.. Since your working with bank statements though, you may not want to do so. So I will continue trying to help you work this out via email. Using mozilla, when you log intoyour bank.. View your statement on screen. And then click file, print ( on the mozilla top line) On the print page that comes up.. On the box that says Range to print. Do you have all pages checked?
I tried that with same results.
Ok.. instead of clicking print. Can you click file, print preview. On the print preview window.. Does your statement appear as it should?
Print preview does not show my statement. On the right side is shows statement dates on the left top just "statement". Very frustrating!
Ok.. Then thats an issue.. Either we arent viewing the statement correctly.. Or the banks website changed the way web browsers view the statements.. Number 2 is very likely. When you see the statement dates on the right If y ou double left click one of those. Does it open an individual statement.. And if we do so, and then print preview on that individual statement, does it show up any better?
It opens the indivdual statement but print preview is the same. Do you think it could be my printer but the website?
It very well could be the website.. They do change formats from time to time. Or.. It could be the printer. Question.. DO NOT Tell me the account name holder, or the account number. But, could you relay to me the credit card or banking website so I can see if I can find a relevant workaround or fix to this issue? Thanks!
I think it is odd that both the American Express website and my Alaska USA Credit Union site are giving me the same results. I just tried saving the statement on a zip drive. It shows the statement on the drive but when I print I get the same results.
What file format is it , when you save it on the zip drive? PDF .. xls sxls etc etc? ( if its not printing the saved file correctly, this points us back at the printer )
PDF file format
Relist: Other.I have been here for over 2 hours! His response time is to slow!
Thanks. There may instead be an issue with your printer, printing a pdf file. On your computer, if you open the downlaoded and saved pdf file version of your statement.. Can you view it normally on y our computer? If you can.. Then Id like to walk you through reinstalliing the printer software, but at the moment I am out of time. Hope we can continue this tommorow and resolve the issue. Yes, my response time is slow.. I do apologize for that.. I will opt out as its only been 20 minutes since my last response to you, And it takes time for me to see your responses, and then reply. Another expert will pick this up.. and if no one does, I will message you when i log in tommorow.
Hi,If you save the pdf file to the computer first, then open the pdf file, then can you print?Did you click on the Print icon within the PDF document (not the print icon of the browser), does it print? Can I remote to your computer and fix/check this issue directly?Thank you.
I purchased a new printer today and everything is fine now.
Great. It's strange as it was able to print other stuff, but I'm glad you got it working. If you have any other computer question/issue, please let us know any time. Thank you.
