Customer Question

Is it possible to use a Samsung Laser printer (ML2165) with an older PC using Windows 98 Second Edition?
I bought the machine this week in the hope that I could use it solely with this PC. JohBaguley but don't seem to be able to get it going and the PC won't read the CD that came with the printer. John Baguley (XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX)

Hi,

Unfortunately, this printer only works on

  • Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / Win7 / 2003 Server / 2008 Server / Mac OS X 10.4 ~ 10.7 / Various Linux OS Compatible
Printer specifications:
http://www.samsung.com/latin_en/consumer/monitor-peripherals-printer/printers/mono-laser/ML-2165/XAA-spec

Can you transfer files via a USB / flash drive (or upload to the web), and print on another computer that is compatible?

And/or can you upgrade to Windows XP?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Operating-Systems-/11226/i.html?_nkw=windows+xp+full

I'm sorry, I know this is not the answer you want to hear, but windows 98 is not supported any more. All new printers are now only supported on windows xp, vista, 7, Mac, and/or Linux.

If you have any other computer question/issue, please let me know. Thank you.
