I have a Lexmark, Prevail, Pro 705. Suddenly will not print email or other documents off of computer. Lost connection from computer to printer.

Hello,

Welcome to JustAnswer. My name is Robert Preston and I will be assisting you with your problem today.

Turn the printer off

Uninstall it by going to:
Start Menu > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program

In there, find the Lexmark printer in the list and remove it

Then restart the computer

Once restarted, reinstall the printer using your installation disc

Power it on when prompted by the installer. If it does not prompt you, wait until it is done installing and then power the printer on.

Then you should be good to go

I do not have the disk. Just tell me how to hook up my computer back to the printer. Will NEVER again own a Lexmark. Why does it just disengage ??

This can happen with any printer for any number of reasons.

Robert. sorry, but your information did not do the trick and fix my problem.. Monday I had to call the free help desk and they fixed my connection problem.. However, they had a difficult time and had to take over operation of my computer to fix the problem./
