I have an old (~1992) Panasonic Word Processor, KX-W1000 which has not been used for years. It will not accept the presence of a disk when inserted into the slot. When trying to either to Format a disk, read the Tutorial disk or transfer an Address List file to a disk, the screen finishing up displaying the same message as one gets if you had omitted to have put in a disk, i.e. "No Disk !! I realise that being so old, a solution may not be possible.Ian Boyce
Hi. I am Rick. I will be your Printer Professional.
Do you get the no disk error regardless of what disk you try to use?
Yes, I got a "No Disk" error message on the screen no matter what disk I tried, and the message is just the same if I "forget" to even put a disk into the slotIan
Ok. The problem you have is that the disk drive the the word processor is bad. You would need to replace the drive but for a machine thisd old that is not going to be easy and might be quite costly if you can find one for i.
