Hi, this is Michelle and i will be assisting you
please let me know that do you get any error message as well along with the error code
I'm not sure what you mean - the word 'error' doesn't appear in the small view box, only the code
the error code P08 indicates a printhead temperature rise issue
this usually indicates a fault with the printhead\ main logic board requiring service
however, you may try the below internediate step
turn off the unit....unplug the power cablenow remove the cartridge...manually slide the carriage assembly\ printhead back and forthalso clean the rail against which the assembly slides with a tissue ensuring that there is no ink residue on itclean the golden contacts of the cartridges and the printhead with a cotton swab dipped in little alcohol
reinsert cartridges and turn on unit and check
if still the error repeats try an alternate set of cartridges...
however ecen after cartridge replacement if the error repeats then the unit would need to be serviced for a possible printhead\logic board failure
if the unit is within warranty cover, you may contact canon for getting the unit serviced else need to contact a local repair store
Thanks. I am now getting 'E16' flashing on the printer and an error message on the pc. It says colour ink has run out. I'll go through yr suggestions now.
