JACUSTOMER-8ff2aey6- :

I don't understand how can I accept without any feedback from you?

Robert Preston :

Most likely this is a print head issue. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. To attempt to resolve it, do the following:

(1) Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over
(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water to thoroughly clean the print head and each ink cartridge.
(4) Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
(5) Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges
(6) Try to print something now

You can also try using an Epson nozzle cleaning kit like this:

If that does not work then you have one of two possibilities:
(1) One of the ink cartridges is defective and causing the error
(2) If it's definitely not that, then the print head will need to be replaced.

This did not help as when I open the top the cartridges do not move.

Ok well it's either that or a paper jam keeping the paper mechanism from working correctly.

Unplug it and try sliding the carriage manually

Also do the following
Unplug it completely from all cables

Lift it up, turn it upside down and shake it a bit to see if anything comes loose.

Check the rear access and front access using a flashlight to look for any tiny paper scraps or anything else that could be hard to see.

Try forcing a very thick piece of paper into the rollers to see if it dislodges anything.

Finally try using a dampened lint free cloth to clean the rollers in the printer.

See if that works... if not, most likely you damaged the feed roller while removing the jam and it's either loose or would have to be replaced to fix the problem.

You have to be kidding with your answers. If I could do all that you suggest I wouldn't have contacted Epson in the first place. I am NOT SATISFIED with your replies.

I'm confused. So you don't want a solution to your problem? I have given you all possibilities above, there is no miracle solution. So if you cannot execute these basic solutions then you will need to have the printer serviced.
