To further understand your issue, please let me know:

1. If this happened after replacing a cartridge or having a paper jam.
2. If you normally use recycled/refilled cartridges or genuine cartridges.
3. If you use any kind of special paper (like glossy or matte)

This happened after replacing cartridges.
I used genuine HP cartridges.
This is standard printer paper.

Windows 7
I did not replace the colored ink right away until I forced to in order to print.
Now the printer is printing but only the Black. Color is grey.

Sometimes this is a driver issue, or it may point to the hardware inside. To see which it is, please take these steps for me:

Try loading something with colors on it in the scanner bed. Then, on the Windows 7 computer click the Windows Start button > All Programs > Accessories > Paint.

Click File (the blue button in the upper left) > From Scanner or Camera > This will launch your scanner’s user interface, perform the scan and it will show on the computer, try to print there and see if it still doesn't show colors. I'll stand by.

Ok good - this just means it's a driver issue.

Do you have the cd for the printer?

And does it connect directly to the computer with a usb cable, or is it wireless?

Great - just take these steps:

Download and run the removal utility for drivers, and run level 4. After it is done, don't reboot yet.

Next, turn off and disconnect your printer from the computer > Click the Windows Start button > Devices and Printers > Right click and remove your printer > Leave the printer unplugged still

Then, Restart the computer

Once logged back in, reinsert the printer cd to install it again > Make sure to turn on and reconnect the printer to power and the computer only when prompted by setup and it should work just fine with colors.
