Sorry, That made no difference. Still not a peep.

We need to change a few things 1. run a different ethernet cable from the print to the router2. turn the router off for 15 seconds, then turn it back on by pulling out the power plug then putting it back in 3. turn the printer off then back on after resetting the router in step 2 4. restart any computer that will connect to the printer 5. once computer restarts, try to connect and print to the printer
Sorry but that had no result either.
Lets try a new network cable
I did that for your previous reply
Is printer directly connected to computer OR network router?
A network router. By the way, I have successfully "pinged" the port.
1. Move the ethernet cable to a different port on the router2. Reboot the printer if need be perform a firmware update on the router3. Reboot the routerTry to print
Router firmware is absolutely up-to-date but still no response from the printer
Please confirm that you moved the ethernet cable to a different port on the routerif after installing the softwarw various times and communication link is good, then the problem is with the computer initiating the print commandTry to print from other systems on the same network only after installing the pertinent software on one or more of those systemsTake your time with this as the outcome will tell us exactly where the problem is

I've solved the problem myself by changing the Lexmark driver. Why that worked, I don't know, since I had not taken any action to change the driver and it worked well before.
Thanks anyway.
