Hi my name is XXXXX XXXXX ill be helping you today
Hit the Setup button on the printer -then go to Preferences -Hit OK. There will be a option -Change Language -Hit OK and change the language to English
Alternately, when the printer is on, press the * and # XXXXX at the same time and release them. When the display shows 'Enter Special Key Combo', press the buttons 1, 2 and 3 one after the other. When the display shows 'Support' on the display, press the right arrow button until you see Resets Menu, and then press OK. It should show 'Country\Language Reset', so press OK. Once the printer restarts, you'll be prompted to selected the Language and Contry again.

1. Unplug power cable while the printer is ON.2. Press and hold the '#' and '3' buttons, and plug the cable back into the printer.3. Continue holding the buttons down for 20 seconds, and then release it.
if that doesnt work then repeat the same procedure mentioned iabove, but this time, press and hold the '#' and '6' button and plug in the power cable

is the language back to english?
try the # XXXXX option but it sounds like a main board issue if it keeps throwing all these different issues at you

how in the world would i have ever gotten it to russian to begin with?
this is a pretty complicated process to get the language changed and i KNOW i never went through all those gyrations
