My Canon i560 has worked very well for over 5 years.
All of a sudden it stopped printing.
The center light is flashing 5 Orange
The Manual recommends changeing the Print Head.Do you agree and if so where could I buy one on line
I live in central Victoria

Hi,
WELCOME TO JUST ANSWER!! My name isXXXXX will assist you to solve or identify your problem.

Yes, the 5 blinking indicates towards print head. Before replacing the print head, please follow the steps below to remove the print head and then cleaning the copper contacts on them with a cotton swab dampened in distilled water until they are clean, after drying them reseat the print head and check the issue. If the problem persist then replace the print head.

  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on.

  2. Open the paper output tray and top cover.

    Note: Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.

  3. Confirm that the print head holder has moved to the center.

  4. Remove all ink tanks.*

    *i560 shown. i850 and i550 use BCI-3e ink tanks



  5. Raise the print head lock lever and remove the print head.



  6. Re-seat the print head into the print head holder and lower the print head lock lever until a click is heard.



  7. Insert the appropriate ink tank into the slot at the right end and push down on the PUSH mark on top of the ink tank until a click is heard. Install the other ink tanks in the same manner.

Where can I buy a Print head on line as I live in central Victoria

It will be very difficult to get only the print head in Australia.You can contact canon support for the print head. The part number of the print head is QY6-042-000. You can use the link below to locate the nearest service center from which, you can buy the print head.
