The ink system failure error can either be hardware or software related. Lets try the software problem first. Follow the steps below and see if it fixes the problem.
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.2. Then, press and hold # XXXXX 6 while plugging in the power cord.Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One
This will do a reset. If it does not correct the problem then the problem is hardware related and is likely the print heads. They will need to be replaced. You can order new ones from HP and the instructions for removing and replacing them will come with the new ones. They will cost about $70 a piece. Lets hope the reset works.
