Customer Question

Hi, I have a Canon All in One Printer MX 700 for over one year and it worked fine. Suddenly the computer would not recognize the Printer:
"Printer not responding" -
I can copy , the Machine is working!
What can I do?

Already Tried:
I tried new drivers, reboot etc.

what version of windows is on the computer?

My computer has Windows XP I have also a MTS wireless router and a Laptop with Windows 7. Everything worked perfect.

Ok which computer is having the problem and is it connected directly or wirelessly to the printer?

The computer is conected to the wireless router.
I tried to disconect the router and conect directly to the computer (rebooted first) but have the same result:"Printer not responding"

No need to purchase another printer. I will suggest that you un-install the printer and then reinstall. Click here for information on un-installing and reinstalling. If you need the software to reinstall click here. If this does not help please click here and enter "printer not responding" in the search box. That search will return the following;

1.Configure printer driver to correct port
2.Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to ensure a secure connection
3.Restart the computer
4.Start Windows Print Spooler Service (Windows 7 / Vista/XP/2000)
5.Un-installing / reinstalling the MX700 drivers (Windows)

If after reviewing the above information and the problem continues please let me know and I will continue to find a solution to the problem.

Hi Edward, I tried everything you suggested, maybe I didn't understand corectly.
After "Click here" on your answer I landed always on the same page.
I installed driver etc. no difference.
Please help an old Senior (79).
