I have an HP PSC 2355xi and it is flashing error code Oxb9696a2b
and below that it says 165:hw-interrupt-hwv2.c

HELP!

Hi,

This is a print head issue and a common problem with this model. To attempt to resolve it, do the following:

(1) Open the printer
(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water to thoroughly clean the print head.
(4) Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
(5) Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges
(6) Try to print something now

If that does not work then you will need to contact HP to get a replacement print head. That will solve the problem.

took out the ink, where is the print head?

The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer.

now it says error 0x83a2fac4

just to be sure, the head is the back of the holder thing that has all the shiny dots?

Do I have to take the machine somewhere? Can I just get the part and pop it in?

Hi,

You'll have to call HP and hopefully they still have replacements for it. Not 100% sure.
