Hello,
Sometimes machines just need a simple reset to clear persistent errors, here's how:
1) Hold the On/Off button for 1 sec. until the printer shuts off.
2) Unplug the power cord and the USB cable.
3) Press the power button for 1 sec.
4) Wait 30 seconds, plug the power cord back in and then the USB cable.
5) Press the power button to turn it on again.

Tried that twice. Didn't work. What's next?

If you're positive all the jams have been cleared, then you must contact Canon for servicing: 800-828-4040

This was not resovled to my satisfaction. I ended up calling Canon to get the issue resolved. I am not going to pay for a phone number to Canon which I already had.

What did Canon advise?

Customer replied 1225 days and 10 hours ago.

They had me shut it down in a different way than you advised, including moving the printer cartridges over and back. Apparently, they were stuck in a position.

Ok, glad to hear it's working.
