my brother printer will not print in color. I have changed all the toners and the drum and i don't know what my options from here on out are?

Sorry for the delay.

So when you try to print something only in color, does the paper comes out blank and even slight color is not printed

When did you buy this printer and since when are you using it

if you try to print something in color it came out a really faint gray you could hardly even see anything on the papaer but now it comes out completely blank.... we have had it for a year and it is used every day!

Please do this and let me know.

Please check the following points:

  • Make sure that the recommended paper was used.
    Please refer to "What is the recommended paper?"

  • Change the paper to freshly unpacked paper.

  • Make sure that the front cover is closed properly.

  • Shake the toner cartridges gently.

  • Clean the laser scanner windows with a soft cloth. Please refer to the instructions, "How do I clean the laser scanner windows?"

  • Turn off Toner Save. Please refer to the instructions, "How can I activate/deactivate the Toner Save Mode?"

  • Select "Vivid" for Color Mode in the printer driver.

    NOTE:The steps may deffer depending on the operating system being used.

    Click Start => Settings => Control Panel => Printer & Faxes. Right click on the printer icon for your machine and select Printing Preferences. Click Advanced tab, select "Vivid" for Color Mode and click on OK.

Now try to print something in color

your message gives me a link to click on how to clean the laser scanner window and how to turn off the toner saver but when i click on the link it says an unexpected error occured and wont show me how to take care of this... is there anywhere else i can find a solution ?
