I have a Canon i950 printer. I recently purchased a Sony Vaio

I have a Canon i950 printer. I recently purchased a Sony Vaio laptop running Vista 64. I reinstalled the drivers from the original CD and went on line and downloaded the additional vista driver from Canon. I still cannot get the printer to print. Please help

Hello !!

Did you download the driver for Vista 64 from this website : LINK
If not, please download it and save it on your desktop. Dont install it.

Then please do this :
INSTRUCTION TO INSTALL PRINTER
1. Before connecting the printer to computer you have to install the printer drivers. So first remove printer cord from computer and shut down printer.
2. Then goto Start > Control Panel > Printers. Right click and uninstall all printers you find there. Restart computer.
3. Then goto above link to download driver. Once downloaded, Double click on the file and install it.
4. After installing your printer driver, shut down computer and then connect your printer to the computer and then power on the printer.
5. Now start the computer and computer should be able to identify the printer.
