I do have a 2006 porsche cayenne with a 4.5 v8, engine runs

Customer Question

hello i do have a 2006 porsche cayenne with a 4.5 v8 , engine runs fine but when i make a right turn the gas pedal doesn't react for probably 5sec, i did replace both fuel pumps as well the fuel filter and the pressure regulator, i also did a tune up on the engine inc. fuel rail flush but the problem ist still present.
JA: Is the fuel filter an external one, or is it inside the tank?
Customer: inside the tank
JA: Are you fixing your Cayenne yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes i'm a mechanic for gm
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Thank you. And no issues going left? How many miles are on the vehicle?

most of the time the issue is if i make a right turn, i did notice the problem by around 10kmh and 1500rpm as well, once i had the problem by driving up hill.

Thank you. Most of the time when I have come across this with no check engine light it is because of a short in the accelerator pedal assembly causing the sensor to not respond quickly. There is also a programming built into the vehicle to cut power momentarily if the brake pedal is applied when hitting the gas. Your brake pedal may be moving during that turn and is causing the module to drop the power of the engine. This can be very hard to diagnose.

would i be able to diagnose that problem with a tester?

You would need a Porsche scan tool to be able to monitor these inputs while driving. You can try holding the brake pedal back with your other foot to see if anything changes. As for the accelerator pedal, this can only be monitored with a scan tool that reads its data.
