Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

As you fill the fuel tank, the incoming fuel displaces the air that was in the tank and pushes it into the evaporative emissions system. The evap system stores the fuel vapors and then draws them into the engine to be burned. There is a fresh air filter on the system, vapors pass through the canister and eventually through the filter and into the atmosphere. If air isn't able to escape the tank quickly enough then it will be hard to get fuel into the tank or it may spit back at you while filling.

It sounds as if you already had the problem diagnosed, or a repair was unsuccessful?

thanks i understand that there is a problem in the evap system
i brought the car to the porsche dealer and they told me that they should change the whole fuel tank and it cost $6000
what do you think?
do i need to change the whole fuel tank or it can be repaired for less

If the rollover valve on the fuel tank is bad then yes, the tank will need to be replaced. Did they diagnose the problem in person?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
they did check engine and they tried to fill the tank which kept stopping and they had to hold it,
for others cars they usually change the valve only, not the whole tank which is close to the fuel pomp
are you sure ?
how much is the tank only?
there is any particular damage that can happen if i do not change it

If they said the tank had to be replaced it's because that's how the valve is serviced, as with most vehicles.Do you have the VIN?
