Porsche 911 Carrera: The battery on my 2006 911 Carrera is

Customer Question

The battery on my 2006 911 Carrera is dead, and the key ignition has locked up and retained my key. I cannot even trip the front compartment to remove the battery. Is there a way to manually open the front compartment?

Yes there is a way to open it. Do you have a jumper box to jump start a car?
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I do not have a jumper box. Even if I did, I cannot get to the battery to attach cables. How could I get the front hood open?
Expert:  porscheguru replied 6 months ago.
No problem but we need to use a good battery to place the positive cable on a pull out jumper post in the fuse box by your left calf on the drivers side. The ground will be placed on the door check. Let me grab a document to show you how to do this.

Here is a description on how to do this

You could use jumper cables from another car but you must be careful with the positive leads
