Customer Question

Tank cap not tightened correctly, faulty or missing or broken/damaged tank flap in tank gas tank
In this post you have here 3 years ago my cayenne is giving the same codes even after replace leak detection pump purge valve and a few more things code still comes back. what i notice those is that the flap thats inside the fuel neck when filling up in does not close back its stays open as in broken. Have you checked the vacuum pumpon the engine for a leak and filling the vacuum line from the vacuum pump to the charcoal canister with oil??
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
haven't done all those yet

It is very common. The vacuum pump is located at the rear of bank 1. Pull the small vacuum line off and see if it is wet. If so you will need to replace the vacuum pump and blow out the line. Keep towels around the end because it could have quite a bit of oil in it.

or service action. If this is leaking and you are original owner with a decent maintenance history, you might be able to get some assistance from Porsche but you have to ask.
