Just bought a used 2000 911 and sunroof switch came loose

Customer Question

Just bought a used 2000 911 and sunroof switch came loose and is up in housing. I'm hesitant to lower roof section, as I'm worried that it may not go back easily. I read that there are 2 phillips screws holding housing up.

Hey there

Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

Its pretty simple, pop the 2 little trim pieces off in front of the switch.

There is a little notch in the front of each trim piece for a flathead screwdriver.

Once they are off you can see the 2 phillips head screws to remove.

Once those are off it pops off and when lowering you have to disconnect the switch connector.
