Porsche Panamera: I have a 2013 Panamera, I am aware I will

Customer Question

I have a 2013 Panamera, I am aware I will need an oil change at 10,000 miles. Is there a leeway period to this 10,000 mile? Would it cause engine damage if I did not get it in to the dealership for the oil change until the mileage rolls until 10,500 miles? Or can I take it in before it hits the 10,000 miles? I am a new owner of a Porsche.
Thank you

Hello, I'm Brandon - Porsche tech.
I would not recommend going over 10,000 miles to do the oil change. The oil at that time has been expired and will no longer 100 percent protect the internal engine components.
I would suggest you to do the oil change sooner than 10,000 miles instead.
Please use only full synethic 0w-40 engine oil.
