in have a 2008 cerrera s with 12,500 miles. second owner all records the car is in excellent condition. i am wondering if i should get an extended warranty tor the ims problem. the manufacture date was november 2007.............

Hello, I'm Brandon - Porsche. The IMS issues commonly occur for the 2005 and below models. The 2008 model has a updated designed with a stronger bearing. Basically Porsche failed on this designed and just put a better band-aid on the problem. There are still 2008 with IMS failure however it is not as common as the 2007 below models. Yes, I would recommend buying the extended warranty.
