Customer Question

Have a Hayward H400IDL2 gas heater that lights then warms up and then starts to make noise like rocks in machine at header assembly. I'm thinking by-pass in header is problem?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: House just puchased and gas was left off from previous owner and I now know why
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I am a heating and cooling contractor and I will repair myself
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Yes you are correct. IF the heater does not have enough water flow it will cause this sound and the by pass is usually the culprit (as long as you have the other valves correct. Be sure that air is not getting in through the header gaskets. Do you need part numbers or manual?
