Customer Question

I just moved into a home with a Pentair system. Everything seems to work with the Intellitouch system through the indoor remote except for the gas heater for the spa/pool. The indoor remote is providing an incorrect temperature reading (way too high, like 160 degrees) so I think that this is the problem. I have tried recalibrating the temperature on the remote but it does not seem to work
JA: Who manufactured the spa?
Customer: It is a built in spa with the pool
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I would like to unless it is more than I can handle
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Don't think so

You need to check the thermistor (temperature probe) that is attached to the plumbing on your pool somewhere in the equipment area. Either it is out and laying in the sun or it has failed and needs to be replaced. It can be checked with a meter if you know how to use a meter and interpret temperature, but most people will replace if it is old. If the temp reading is high then the heater will not come on as it believes there is an overheating situation.

I have attached an image of a probe/sensor.
