I have a starite pool pump that operates my jets for the Jacuzzi, I turned on the switch and heard a sizzle, and the motor won't come on.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: It happened a couple months ago and I am now preparing to open up for the season.

This should be a pretty easy change out...same wiring, and threaded connections.

When you heard a sizzle it likely burned out the windings in the existing motor.

You can verify by seeing if the motor gets full power when switch is turned on. Rarely is it the more commonly is the motor.

But if you have full power and no motor = replace motor and not full power = replace switch
