hello,

you can remove the pilot tube from the gas valve...if it is getting gas it will emit from where you removed pilot tube from valve. It takes a long time to "prime" on of these.

Can you try the pilot port check now?

Just tell me what to do , i will run outside and do it. where is the pilot port check?, can you call me on my cell?

follow the silver tube from the pilot..it is as thick as a pencil...this tube screws into the gas valve. Remove the tube from gas valve and try a cycle

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i will try this and get back to you in about 15 minutes

just return to this thread when ready

i took off the tube you told me to take off and no gas is coming out to supply the pilot light. What should i try next?

Are all valves open? Gas valve on the heater...gas valve shut off in pipe?

if you remove pipe to unit is gas live?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i have a pipe coming out of ground with a T on it , one side goes to heater , other is for later on, i opened up the one for
later on and gas is flowing nicely. i may have to disconnect the heater side and see fi something is clogged going into heater.
would you recommend this?
Expert:  Billy replied 1 year ago.

you either have a blockage...or the gas valve is not opening...do you hear the valve click on start up?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no , i only her the clicking for the pilot light

thank you,

do you have a meter to see if 24v is going to gas valve?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no, i had an electrician here earlier , but i do not think he checked this, all panels and lights and everything else is working.
How can i check without a meter?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
should i disconnect pipe before valve to see if it is blocked?
Expert:  Billy replied 1 year ago.

yes...take apart up to gas valve as there is a filter screen at valve

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
