I have a Hot Springs 2002 Landmark SPA. It has worked fine

Customer Question

I have a Hot Springs 2002 Landmark SPA. It has worked fine up to now. It only heat up 92 degrees (F). If I turn off the breakers (CB)s and let the temp go down to 90, then turn the CBs on, the SPA will heat up to 92 degrees and the green light comes on. If set the temp up above 92, the green light goes out and the temp will not go above 92. Any ideas of what is wrong ???????? Larry

No.

Thank you...then we have a bad sensor or panel....are you able to ohm sensor for correct resistance reading?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It appears that im no longer getting 220 to the heater.
Expert:  Billy replied 1 year ago.

the heater works until 92...then it cuts off correct?

This means the heater works...but something is turning it off

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Could any other component keep hot tub between 90 and 92 without the heater kicking in?
Expert:  Billy replied 1 year ago.

no. that is why I am assuming the heater does work...at least until the 90-92 temp happens and then is turned off.

If you let drop...and turn on...does the heater engage?..but shuts off at 92?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Not sure, at one time i thought i had 220v between h1 and h2 on the heater board but now i cant get 220 even when i turn temperature up to 100, green light goes off but still no 220. I assume when green light goes off the heater should kick in.

is the flow switch made when pump runs...the heater cannot engage unless the flow switch makes contact

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry i dont know where the flow switch is
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I dont think that switch is correct for my spa. I have a landmark model s 2002.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Does the landmark model s 2002 have a pressure switch.
Expert:  Billy replied 1 year ago.

it will have a flow/pressure switch of some sort...

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I dont see anything that looks like a pressure switch. Where does the other end of the pressure switch wire plug into, the heater board or the control board?
Expert:  Billy replied 1 year ago.

it would be heater...do you have a schematic intact of the unit?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, i wish i did.
