My pool with a Pentair Quad 80 filter is putting a small amount

Customer Question

My pool with a Pentair Quad 80 filter is putting a small amount of DE into the pool when it turns on. I have tried removing the backwash valve but it will not come free. While not 100% sure it appears the gasket is not seated properly. Any suggestions

Why is this taking so long. My questions is really about how to successfully remove the plunger without totally breaking it. It doesn't want to be extracted up through the tube where it is housed.

No, but I have my problem resolved by other means. I couldn't afford to wait so long to attend to my pool in the Arizona heat.
