The SQ 1202 has a threaded shaft and square flange....
You will have to unscrew it to get it
Other models have a "Stub Shaft" on the Keyed Shaft
They have a C-Flange or Round Face, with 4 bolt holes at 1, 5, 7 and 11 O'Clock. ........
..........Shaft is slotted or "Keyed" to accept a stub shaft. No attached Base.

With the threaded shaft some hold the
impeller with a large pair of vice locking
Remember , left handed or reverse threaded
shafts can be confusing.
Experiment slowly until you are sure
you are turning the right direction.
