I have a 45000 gal. pool my current salt level is 4600ppm I 've drained approx. 3" of water and refilled six times, how many times will I have to do this to get salt level to 3400ppm?
Hello, how can I help you today? Has it been tested each time you've refilled it to see how much you're reducing the salt levels each time? If you've basically replaced 18 inches of water in a pool that size, you should have dropped at least 1300 ppm by now. Do you know what the current reading is after all of the dilutions?

I have been taking my water to a pool company to get tested each time. each time it is tested at 4600ppm still, although the pool company stated this last time that their test may not be that accurate so they recommend that I test it myself on site. I just ordered a test kit and am waiting for it to arrive.
Ok, yes, that would be the best if they are admitting that, since they should really have the top of the line tester if they're using it for customers. Generally the digital testers are much more expensive, but they're very accurate. In reality, you should be dropping at least 300 ppm or so each time you drain and refill, so there should be a noticable difference after six times.
