poolguy810 :

Hello, how can I help you today? Ok, in your breaker box, where you installed your gfci breaker, can you tell me where your neutral wire going to the spa is hooked up inside that box?

Customer :

To the bus bar for (white) neutral lug

poolguy810 :

ok, that's probably the problem then. The neutral coming from the spa to the gfci breaker should be hooked on to the neutral spot on the breaker itself, then the white pigtail from the breaker should be going to the bus bar. The way it's hooked up now will create a dead short and trip immediately.

Customer :

There is a wire (white) from the breaker to this same bus bar.

poolguy810 :

yes, the curly pigtail wire that's premounted to the breaker should go to the bus bar. Then the white neutral that's going to the spa should be connected to the third neutral connector screw on the breaker itself. If theu're both on the bus bar, it's a dead short.

Customer :

ok, will give this a try

Customer :

looks like that was it

Customer :

thanks

poolguy810 : Thanks and have a great day ! Jeff
