Customer Question

i have a hayward sp2607x10 pool filter and it is leaking from the motor head mount on the bottom. It looks like that but you realize how water flows. I changed all the gaskets and from the seal assembly, diffuser gasket, gasket housing. I put it back together and the leak still evident. I believe i put the gaskets back the way they were in the beginning. Could you give me a detail of how the seal assembly is put together, that is the only part i think i could of put in wrong.

Hello, I can help you with this problem. The potential point of problem is with the impeller seal. The impeller seal is the white porcelain seal that goes into the impeller. The proper way to install the seal is with the porcelain side facing you as you are looking at it. Also I would recommend that you carefully inspect the pump housing for any cracks, and they may be small or in joints and difficult to spot.

Please note, If the seal was put in backwards, it may need to be replaced.
