I just built a pool house and would like to put a second control

Resolved Question:

I just built a pool house and would like to put a second control pad in the pool house. I have a Jandy AguaLink RS8 in the main house. Can this be done? Can I connect the second pad directly to the control panel at the same location as the first? In other words, I would have two pads directly connected to the four ports on the control panel. If that will not work, how do I connect the second pad?

Can I use my old AguaLink RS6 or do I have to use the same RS8 type pad that I have in the main house?

Yes, The aqua link RS allows up to 4 wired controllers, in series or parallel to be installed. Each controller has jumpers on the controller itself which will have to be set to name each controller ie controller 1 , controller 2. You will not be able to use the RS6 controller as the functions will not line up with the RS8

Yes, at the control box, you will connect both remote pads to the same 4 terminal connectors in the control box.

Never put more than 2 wires into each of the pins of the red, 4-pin terminal bar. If more than 2 connections are needed use a a Jandy Multiplex Pcb board.
