Had the tile replaced on my pool but the shalow end skimmer does not work correctly. I found it was missing the mult flow control insert. Ordered a new one but it still cause all the water to go to the shallow skimmer and cavitate the pump. Is there another part that is required. Everything worked before and the techs sware they did not do anything but I know something is missing from my skimmer
Already Tried: Replaced the control vlave in skimmer. O now have the shallow skimmer turned off.
Hello, I will help you with your issue. To be honest, you really dont need the control valve in the skimmer for it to opperate. I dont think it is what is missing that is the problem, if the pump is cavitating when you use the skimmer, it sounds like you are not getting enough flow through the skimmer, I would think the skimmer door may be sticking. Have you checked the skimmer door for proper opperation?
That was ir. Some of the mastic was on the skimmer door and not allowing it to open. All is working now thank you.
