I HAVE A PENTAIR HEATER 460736 NATURAL GAS HEATER FOR MY POOL IT READS 126 AND SAYS R = 8 WHEN YOU 1ST TURN THE POWER ON WHAT DOES THIS MEAN. YOU CAN AJUST THE TEMP BUT HEATER DOES NOT KICK ON. DOES NOT READ WATER TEMP EITHER.
Already Tried: TURNED POWER OFF AND AJUSTED TEMP ALL THE WAY DOWN. I TOOK FRONT COVER OFF TO SEE IF THERE IS A RESET.

The R=8 you are seeing on the display is only a revision number for the board and heater. It is NOT an error code.
if you can give more detail as to what your are setting and what other circumstances are going on when attempting to fire the heater, I can give suggestions to the possible cause.
nothing happens i am just trying to heat my pool. I was just wondering if there was something i could try
If you're trying to fire the heater, and it won't come on, do you want to try and troubleshoot it, or have a service tech come out to look at it? I'm not sure what you want to try?
