Customer Question

Vita Spa L230
Was getting "flo" message then pump quit. Just replaced a capacitor at pump motor and new pressure switch. Am now getting a code 55-0. What does that code mean?

Thanks, ron

Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX allow me a moment to review your question thoroughly.

That is SS=0. It indicates an open circuit on the hi-limit sensor. Check to make sure the sensor is plugged in and correctly mounted. You may have moved or unplugged when doing the other service.

Check to be sure the the temp sensor is plugged in correctly, also. Your spa may use a single sensor for both.

If the sensor is mounted on the heater correctly and plugged into the board correctly, replace the sensor.

If you still have questions, just reply. Otherwise, have a great day!TheHotTubGuy41033.7186118403

I would like to add, please try this:

Turn the power off.
Now, unplug the sensor/s and plug them back in.
Turn the power back on.

Sometimes this will help. Most of the time you will still need a new sensor.

Thank you.
