Customer Question

pool pump is 230 volts I have 115 volts how do I wire my 115 volts up to a pool motor that is already 230 volts. NOT SURE.

Already Tried:
YOU HAVE A B with a brown wire on it then a A with a white wire on it. Then you have line 1 and then you have a line 2. I put my black on line 1 and then put white on line 2. it seems to me there is drag on the motor not sure.

Welcome, how can I help you today? Yes there is a drag on the motor, some motors are both 110 / 220 and you just have to move a wire in the back, BUT SOME ARE NOT, look at the label on the motor where it has the power rating. If it says 220v and that's it you can not wire it 115V if the label says 115/220v then you can.

OK well I am saying that if the label on the motor is stating only the numbers 220volts then you CAN NOT WIRE a 110 volts to it and get it to work.

the motor is rated for 230 volts/ 115 volts . that is what I'am tring to wire. want to know what terminals does my 115 volts go to . the a or b or line 1 or line 2 thanks.
