Hello I will help,

The coolant surge tank is the reservoir that you add to. On a coldm engien remove the top and fill with DexCool 50/50 mix to the full cold line on the reservoir.

it was filled to that line already, but coolant low light still comes on
Expert:  George H. replied 2 months ago.

The level sensor may have oil on it. Is there an oil film on top of the coolant?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
don't know will check. snow storm here today. If so i will wipe off. And if it still indicates low coolant?
Expert:  George H. replied 2 months ago.

The level sensor connector is at #9 in the diagram I posted, bottom of tank. Unplug it and install a paperclip in the connector to see if the warning goes out. If it does you either have oil contamination from a leak or something was added to the cooling system or the sensor has failed and you need to replace the tank.

Let me know how I can help

Thanks
