JA: Are you fixing your Grand Prix yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Have a 98 pontiac grand prix w/of climate control. Replace the fan register and somehow unpluggied purple vac line. I can't where it connects. Heat blowa
JA: Have you checked the coolant level? Has there been any leaking from the hoses?
Customer: Have a 98 pontiac grand prix w/of climate control. Replaced blower more resistor and accidentally unplugged purple vacuum line. Can't find where it goes. I have coming out of the center air ventshow only, no floor or defrost.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

ok, got some info.

the hose is vacuum from the motor to the vacuum/electric solenoid. it is under the right side of the dash. I gave you instruction to get to it plus a picture.

Remove or Disconnect

  1. Right side instrument panel insulator.
  2. Vacuum lines and electrical connections from vacuum electric solenoid.
  3. Vacuum electric solenoid mounting screws.
  4. Vacuum electric solenoid.

Install or Connect

  1. Vacuum electric solenoid.
  2. Vacuum electric solenoid mounting screws.

Tighten

  • Screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb. in.) .
  1. Vacuum lines and electrical connections to vacuum electric solenoid.
  2. Right side instrument panel insulator.
