Pontiac Problems? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Sounds like you have a fairly terminal issue with your auto transmission.
Have you checked the trans fluid level?
Ok, it is a manual transmission.
Do you mean you have smoke from the clutch bellhousing area?
I would say the front seal of the transmission is leaking.
Which would be trans out, replace seal, replace clutch etc.
So you have a leak from the front of the gearbox?
Which is probably the front seal, easy enough to fix.
And you also have smoke from the exhaust before the cat convertor, so a hole in hole in exhaust?
Does it smoke out the back as well?
How many miles on the engine?
Can you unbolt it there, and then run the engine?
I hope my advice has been of assistance to you.
Do you still need help?
