good afternoon my name is ***** ***** I will assist

what was the compression??

is there power to the injector harness???

do you have a noid light to see if the injector is working and being commanded on by the pcm??

Roy

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I have a Snap on solus edge. I can command it on and off. Definitely cylinder 3. The compression was right about 180.
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

ok, just because you commanded it on does not mean it is actually on. thats why you need a noid light to be sure the pcm is grounding the return side.

I can turn it off with the snap on and feel the difference so doesnt that prove its being controlled? I can get a noid light if that will help. It is more like a lean misfire. And it goes away off of idle. Always cylinder 3 exclusively but throws a p0300 rather thsn p0303
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

ok, 300 code, new info not provided.

first, if it clears off idle, I suspect a bad injector.

also some other possibilities, vacuum leak. what is the long term trim only at idle???

low fuel pressure is very common for the 300 code. thats the first thing I would check with the 300 code. it indicates lean condition.

are you saying there is no 303 code??

Roy

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Ok. I'm doing the checks now and I will get back soon.
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

ok

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It has p0303 code but also after pushing on the gas a few times in park it randomly had check engine light start flashing and traction control light pops on stays like that and just disappears randomly I was able to make it happen again by pressing gas a few times
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
That has never happened while driving just while raising rmps for a period of time in park
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Does not show any new codes after that happening either
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

ok, how about the results of the checks???

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I have time for whatever now. Here is trim
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

ok, looks good.

can you check the fuel pressure???

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I will need to go get a fuel pressure tester. Any experience with the harbor freight fuel pressure kit. Also just experienced something strange...something like a suction noise from the engine bay in unison with the t.c. light coming on. When the noise stopped the t. C. Light turned back off..
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

harbor freight is my favorite place for tools. go for it

is the air filter off??

Don't worry I'll definitely make sure you get paid. I got the tester today but I haven't got it in. I'll be bringing it in in the next hour or so. What numbers show good fuel pressure?
Expert:  Roy Belding replied 8 months ago.

50-60 lbs is the spec
