2008 Grand Prix, some door locks will not operate after car

Customer Question

2008 Grand Prix, some door locks will not operate after car sits in the sun. Works great when cool with the key fob.
JA: Have you checked the battery in the fob? Will the car open with another remote?
Customer: yes, works the same with all fobs.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, checked one of the lock motors. Think the problem is heat related with expansion and contraction of bcm connectors or bcm solder joints.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: remote start works from quite a distance
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Pontiac Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

You say that some locks don't operate when hot. Are there some door locks that DO work when hot? Have you replaced any of the lock motors yet?
