I have a 2007 solstice. my wife shut off the engine

Customer Question

i have a 2007 solstice. my wife shut off the engine yesterday. when she returned to the car it would not start. in fact all electrical systems were not operational. i checked the battery voltage. it was reading about 12 volt. but when key was turn the voltaged dropped to about 4.5 volt. i attempted to use my vehicle to jump start hers. when i put my cables on her vehicle all the electrical systems started to work. however the starter solenoid would only click. i tried to jump start with old battery disconnected from circuit. still would not start.
at this point i assumed i had a bad battery since battery was original part. i replaced battery with a new one.
during the replacement i needlessly removed the fuse box. after googling replacement procedure i installed new battery and reconnected fuse box.
all systems appeared to have started working with new battery with one execption the horn would not work. after applying pressure to fuse box the horn would work intermittently. i assume i have a bad connection for horn.
however when i tried to start vehicle nothing is happening. the solenoid does not even click. the battery has 12+ volts and maintains voltage when starter switch is engaged. the vehicle has a standard transmission and i can not start the vehicle by rolling the vehicle and popping the clutch either.
any ideas would be appreciated.

i do not see a 125 amp fuse in box under hood. is it located in fuse box inside of car.
Expert:  Dan replied 10 months ago.

its should be close to where the battery cable goes into the under hood fuse box

Expert:  Dan replied 10 months ago.

are all the fuses in that box pushed in all the way down?

Expert:  Dan replied 10 months ago.
