On a 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, the driver's door will not open

Customer Question

On a 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, the driver's door will not open from the inside. The outside will open occasionally if you really pull up on it.

You are going to have to pull the door panel off and check to see what is causing the door to not open, could be as simple as a cable that is off the bracket. You may also have broken parts that need replacement.

OK. If replacement of parts is necessary, will the power door locks present an issue?
Expert:  Dan replied 11 months ago.

You have a lock solenoid in the door that controls the power lock operation, this could also be your problem.
