Have you tried adding a can of Freon to the low side of the air conditioning system?

What year, model, engine is this Pontiac?

You can find those kits almost anywhere that include one can of Freon and the hose to add the Freon to the system.

Late models use the R134a, like thishttp://www.isotherm-parts.com/bmz_cache/2/211abb35982ec7f397a9a7cf6e428825.image.750x420.jpg
