2005 grand am with 3.4, im replacing head gasket and cant

2005 grand am with 3.4, im replacing head gasket and cant find information on adjusting rockers and lash, also can I use my old head without having them resurfaced, if so what can be used to remove old gasket of aluminum head

the rockers are not adjustable the rockers are just torqued down to spec

if the head is not warped over @ .003 you can reuse them if they are warped more they need to be machined

usually using a dull scraper will clean up the surface or an air disc cleaner with an aluminum disc cleaner as you do NOT want to cut into the aluminum when cleaning the surface with an air cleaner disc tool or the scraper

and be SURE the push rods are in correctly 6 are long and 6 are short

the shorts are for the intake valves and the longs are for the exhaust valves
